Institutional Partners

PROSPECT is based at the University of Oslo and is also attached to several academic institutions in other countries. The most important of these are:

The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute (http://www.vanleer.org.il/eng/) is a leading intellectual center for the interdisciplinary study and discussion of issues related to philosophy, society, culture and education. The Institute gives expression to the wide range of opinions in Israel, and takes particular pride in its role as an incubator and creative home for many of the most important civil society efforts to enhance and deepen Israeli democracy.

The CSPS (Centre for the Study and Documentations of Religions and Political Institutions in Post-secular Society www.csps.uniroma2.it) is a recently established centre initiated by members of the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. CSPS promotes interdisciplinary, sociological, political and philosophical research on religion and politics and the study of religions in pluralistic cultural conditions.

The CSCRS (Center for the Study of Chinese Religion and Society) at Peking University will hold a workshop in Beijing in the spring of 2014.  The center is one of the most important institutes engaging in social scientific study of religion in China and has launched workshop series on the sociology of religion each year since 2009.
